    What time is check-in?

    Check-in is from 4pm on the day of arrival. In the case of earlier arrival, we try our very best to accommodate our guests where possible. Please note that an earlier check-in is subject to room availability and that additional charges may apply.

    What time is check-out?

    Check-out is at 11am on the day of departure. In the cases of late departure, we try our best to accommodate our guests where possible. Please note that a late check-out is subject to room availability and that additional charges may apply.

    Does the hotel offer baggage storage?

    Yes, you can leave your luggage with the reception until your room is ready or you are ready to depart.

    Does the hotel have WiFi?

    Yes, Maldron Hotel Oranmore is pleased to offer complimentary WiFi in all public areas and bedrooms.

    Does the hotel provide laundry/dry cleaning?

    We do not have laundry facilities on site, however we can arrange for external laundry and dry cleaning services at an extra cost. This can take a couple of days to be returned to the hotel so please ensure you have enough time.

    What do I do if I accidentally left some items in the hotel?

    If you have left any items behind following your stay at the hotel, please contact our hotel reception directly via phone on +353 (0)91 792 244 and our team will be happy to organise collection or postage if the item is found.

    Are pets permitted in the hotel?

    No, pets are not allowed in the hotel, with the exception of guide and assistance dogs.

    Is the hotel reception desk open 24 hours a day?

    Yes, the reception desk is operating 24 hours day.

    What is the hotel’s smoking policy?

    At Maldron Hotel Oranmore, we operate a strictly non-smoking policy throughout the entire hotel. A deep cleaning fee will be charged to guests who are found to be in breach of our no smoking policy.

    Do you sell gift vouchers?

    Yes, gift vouchers are available to purchase at the hotel reception desk or online. Gift vouchers can be used in all Maldron Hotels, in our sister brand, Clayton Hotels and selected partner hotels, The Gibson Hotel, The Belvedere Hotel and Hotel 7, meaning a choice of over 40 hotels in Ireland and the UK.

    Do you provide printing facilities for boarding passes?

    Yes, our reception team can assist with printing your boarding pass.

    Does the hotel offer currency exchange?

    No, we don’t offer currency exchange at the hotel, but we will be happy to direct you to the nearest facility.

    Is parking available at the hotel?

    Yes, we offer complimentary car parking to all of our guests and visitors.

    Is there an electric car charging point near the hotel?

    We have three EasyGo Electric Car Charge Point’s located in the hotel car park. They can be found on the north side of the hotel, near to the Main Entrance to our Reception area. To use our charge points, you will need an EasyGo key fob or use the EasyGo App. EasyGo chargers can be free to use or require payment – all payment details can be found on the EasyGo App.

    How far is the hotel from Galway City?

    Maldron Hotel Oranmore is located 10.4km and a 21-minute drive from the heart of Galway City. For more information, please visit our location page.

    Are there any airports nearby?

    Yes, we have two airports that are close to the hotel. Shannon Airport is only 50 minutes’ drive away and Ireland West Airport is just 60 minutes’ drive away from Maldron Hotel Oranmore. There are excellent bus facilities which service both routes.

    Are there any shopping areas nearby?

    Yes, Oranmore Village has a selection of boutiques and homeware shopping. We’d also highly recommend a visit to the city (it’s only a short drive away) as there are lots of diverse and high street options available. Galway Shopping Centre in Headford Road is located 9.1km from the hotel or Eyre Square shopping centre is located 9.4km away in Eyre Square.

    How close are public transport links to the hotel?

    There is a bus stop just a 5-minute walk away at the Oran Town Shopping Centre. This serves Galway city (404) and many other destinations such as the Cliffs of Moher (350) as well as the CityLink to Dublin.

    Oranmore Train Station is a 20-minute walk or 5-minute taxi journey away.

    Is there a car rental station near the hotel?

    Yes, Budget Car Rental is located just over 15 minutes’ drive away from the hotel in Eyre Square in Galway City.

    What room types does the hotel offer?

    Maldron Hotel Oranmore boasts 113 spacious and comfortable hotel rooms. Depending on your needs and the size of your group, we have the perfect room for you. We provide Double rooms, Twin rooms (with 1 double and 1 single bed), Triple rooms (with 1 double and 2 single beds), Executive Rooms and Family suites. We boast different size family rooms which can accomodate all different family sizes from 2 adults & 2 children to 2 adults & 4 children all in the same hotel room.

    Are there wheelchair accessible rooms available?

    Yes, we have 2 fully wheelchair accessible rooms with walk-in showers and support railings. Please let us know if you require a wheelchair accessible room at booking so that we can ensure you are reserved the necessary hotel room.

    Does the hotel have family rooms?

    We have a variety of family rooms available at Maldron Hotel Oranmore. Depending on how much space you need, we offer family rooms for two adults and one child which feature a double and a single bed in each of them. For families of two adults and two children, there are two bedding options, a double bed with two single beds or a double bed, single bed and pull out couch. We also have large family rooms available which comfortably sleep up to two adults and three children which will need to be booked directly with the property.

    Does the hotel provide cots?

    Yes, we have cots available. Please note it in the comments or give us a call on +353 (0)91 792 244 at the time of your booking to reserve one and avoid disappointment on arrival.

    Do you have triple rooms for groups at the hotel?

    Yes, we have three single beds in our triple rooms. In total, we have 14 rooms which make us the perfect location for group getaways.

    Are the hotel rooms air-conditioned?

    No, unfortunately, our bedrooms are not air-conditioned.

    Do the bathrooms have a shower or a bath?

    All bedrooms have a bath except for our wheelchair accessible rooms.

    Does the hotel offer wake-up calls?

    Yes, we do offer wake-up calls. Please speak to a member of the reception team to arrange.

    What amenities are included in the room?

    Our hotel rooms feature hairdryer, iron, ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries. Mini fridges are available upon request. Please note it in the comments or give us a call on +353 (0)91 792 244 at the time of your booking to reserve one.

    What dining options are available at the hotel?

    At Maldron Hotel Oranmore, we offer a wide variety of dining options. From Vitality Breakfast with lots of healthy options, the delicious Q Bar menu to the Grain & Grill restaurant, there is something to choose from for every taste and occasion.

    Does the hotel offer breakfast?

    Yes, we are renowned for a great selection of breakfast options available each morning. Choose from traditional grilled breakfast items as well as healthier and nutritious options to kickstart your morning. Breakfast is served 7 days a week in our Grain & Grill restaurant, Monday to Friday from 7am to 10am and on weekends and bank holidays from 7am to 11am.

    If breakfast isn’t included in your rate, you can still purchase breakfast at reception.

    What time is dinner served?

    Food is served daily from 12.30pm until 9pm with our evening dinner menu starting at 2.30pm. Dine in either our Q Bar or Grain & Grill restaurant which are both renowned for their exceptional dishes and extensive á la carte menu created from seasonal and local ingredients.

    Does the restaurant cater food for allergies?

    Yes, all of our menus have a full allergy listing. Please inform your waiter if you have any allergies, vegetarian or dietary requirements and our kitchen team will be delighted to assist.

    Does the restaurant offer a dedicated kid’s menu?

    Yes, we offer a separate children’s menu for our younger guests. Just ask your server!

    Do you provide room service?

    Yes, we can offer room service during the restaurant operating hours (7am until 9pm). You can either collect your food from the restaurant, or we can deliver the food to your room with a tray charge of €5.00.

    Is there a reservation for dinner required?

    No, a dining reservation is in general not required. However, we advise you to reserve your table to avoid disappointment. To pre-book, please contact our team on +353 (0)91 792 244.

    Do you cater for large groups? Can I book a private dining space for a special occasion?

    Yes, we cater for large groups in both private or semi-private dining rooms. To enquire, please fill out our online enquiry form or call the hotel on +353 (0)91 792 244 to speak with a member of our events team.

  • Leisure Facilities

    Does the hotel offer a swimming pool and gym facilities on-site?

    Yes, our leisure centre has a 20m heated swimming pool with a separate kiddies pool. We also have a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room on-site. For our more active guests, we also provide a fully equipped and state-of-the-art gym catering for cardio, core and strength training. Whether you want to maintain your workout routine or plan to relax and unwind, you can do both in Club Vitae at Maldron Hotel Oranmore.

    What are the opening hours of the swimming pool and gym?

    The leisure facilities at Maldron Hotel Oranmore opens from 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday and from 7.30am to 9pm on weekends and bank holidays.

    Children are welcome up to 7.00pm daily.

    Is there an age limit for using the leisure facilities?

    Yes, children under 16 are not permitted to use the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room or the gym. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must be fully supervised when using the facilities.

    Is the use of the leisure facilities complimentary for guests?

    Yes, the use of our leisure facilities is complimentary to all of our guests.

    Are there meeting and event room facilities available at the hotel?

    Yes, we have a dedicated conference centre on the 1st floor, providing 6 bright and flexible meeting rooms suitable for small meetings, interviews, training days or courses.

    Does the hotel facilitate conferences?

    Yes, our hotel does facilitate conferences.

    How many people do your meeting rooms accommodate?

    We have a range of different size meeting rooms which can accomodate different size groups. Our smallest meeting room accomodates 6 people in Boardroom style, whilst our largest meeting room can accomodate a maximum of 100 people in theatre style.     What equipment is included in the meeting rooms?

    All our meeting rooms come with CleverTouch digital screens which you can connect your laptop to for presentations. Also a feature of our screens is the touchscreen whiteboard, perfect for training courses and presentations. In addition, our meeting rooms all benefit from natural daylight and are equipped with black-out blinds. Free high-speed WiFi will be provided complimentary in all meeting rooms as well as air conditioning & heating.

    Are there food and beverage options available?

    Does the hotel offer any family facilities and activities?

    We pride ourselves on being a family friendly hotel and we provide the following facilities. On the first floor of the hotel you will find our Games Room which provides toys and games for our guests to enjoy. There is a full-size air hockey table and a full-size pool table – always guaranteed to keep the boredom at bay. In addition, we have an on-site playground located just outside Club Vitae Leisure Centre, plus all of our guests get complimentary access to our swimming pool.

    Does the hotel run a kids club?

    We currently do not run a Kids Club at Maldron Hotel Oranmore.

    Is there a babysitting service available?

    We do not have an in-house babysitting service available.

    What is Click on Maldron and how do I sign up?

    Signing up and being part of Click on Maldron means you can save €10/£10 per room per night every time you book directly on our website (excludes selected sale and promotional special offers). To sign up, visit our ‘Click on Maldron’ page and join in 3 simple steps to ensure your discount is applied to all future online bookings.

    What is the best way to make a reservation?

    The best way to book is online on our website where you can easily see our best rates and what exclusive offers and packages are available. Alternatively, you can call us on +353 (0)91 792 244 or email info.galway@maldronhotels.com.

    What should I do if I haven’t received a booking confirmation?

    If you have not received your booking confirmation, try to check your spam/junk folder. If you still haven’t received it, please contact our reservations team on +353 (0)91 792 244 and they will be happy to help.

    What payment methods does the hotel accept?

    Maldron Hotel Oranmore accepts all major credit/debit cards, cash as well as contactless payments. The hotel is unable to accept cheques as a form of payment.

    What is the hotel’s credit/debit card policy?

    A valid credit/debit card is required to secure all bookings made online or over the phone, unless in cases where this is otherwise stated. Please note nothing is charged to the card at booking stage when booking directly with the hotel (with the exception of advance purchase offers or bookings that require a deposit. This will be clearly noted on the booking offer).

    For all rooms that are being paid for in cash must be accompanied with photographic ID. No rooms will be let unless payment is guaranteed.

    What age are children for the purpose of hotel packages?

    Under 12’s are considered to be children.

    How do I make a group or multiple room booking?

    Are there any age restrictions when booking a hotel room?

    To book a hotel room, you must be at least 18 years old. All under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian or parent.

    Can I show up at the hotel without a booking?

    Yes, you can, however, we would always recommend to call ahead to the hotel or booking online prior to arriving to secure your reservation and to avoid disappointment.

    Can I extend my stay?

    Yes, depending on availability, we’ll be happy to accommodate you for further nights at an additional cost. Please contact our reception team if you plan to extend your stay.

    How can I amend or cancel my booking?

    If you have booked directly with the hotel, you can amend or cancel your booking by visiting the ‘Manage Booking’ section on our website by using your confirmation number and email address. Alternatively, you can call us directly on +353 (0)91 792 244 or res.galway@maldronhotels.com to cancel or amend your booking.

    How can I cancel my reservation if I booked via a third-party website?

    If you have booked via a third-party, you will need to contact the third party directly to amend or cancel your booking as we cannot do that on your behalf. Please note that they have their own cancellation policies, so please refer to your confirmation email.

    What is the cancellation policy?

    If you have booked the reservation directly with the hotel over the phone or online, Maldron Hotel Oranmore offers free cancellation up to 2pm the day prior to arrival unless advance purchase non-refundable rate was selected. Please note that some special offers and key dates outlined in the terms and conditions may specify a special cancellation policy applicable to that offer and date.

    What does the “no-show” policy entail?

    If a guest makes a reservation and fails to show up and doesn’t cancel the reservation successfully then we will take payment for the first night’s stay from the credit or debit card provided at the time of booking. If your booking is advance purchase, the total amount will be non-refundable and you will incur a 100% penalty charge for the entire duration of your stay.
